Candis Breanne Beckemeyer was born April 24, 2002 in Bakersfield, California. She was raised by her mother, Shanda Beckemeyer and her Nana, Janis Beckemeyer. Candis was raised her entire life in Shafter and attended Kindergarten through 8th Grade at Maple Elementary School; she was a sophmore at Shafter High. Candis attended Shafter Christian Fellowship; she was such a caring and compassionate young woman. Candis had a passion for children, especially babies. She would often jump in and take care of the babies in her family; feeding, bathing, playing and just loving the youngest member of her family unconditionally. Her love of caregiving helped her to realize her dream of being in the medical field with a goal to become a nurse one day. She was a sassy young woman with a strong-stubborn will. Candis loved to be silly and goof around with her best friends. She loved music, dancing and hanging out; Candis attended every school event and church camp at Hume Lake whenever the opportunity presented itself. She also loved makeup and getting dressed up. Candis leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her mother, Shanda Arlene Beckemeyer; grandparents, Janis Beckemeyer and James Fraze her brother, Dustin Shane Beckemeyer, 24, with nephew, Caius Shane Calypso Beckemeyer; her brother, Kailin Robert Beckemeyer, 20, and niece Victoria Faye Beckemeyer; her father, James Hodge; a sister, Jazmine Hodge; brother, Donovan Hodge; aunts, Heather Beckemeyer, Tammy Williams and Sarah Verras (and uncle Theodore); cousins, Max and Truxten Verras, and Tessa Scoggins, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Candis is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Dorise and Floyd Scoggins; uncle, Eddie Scoggins, cousins, Carol and Josh Scoggins, Justin Woods, and Carrie Sliver.
