Buffy Suzanne Balentine was born July 12, 1972 in Wasco, California to Peggy (Crosby) and James Steve Balentine. She attended Wasco schools and various nursing classes, then went on to be lead therapist at Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona before returning to Kern County and Santa Maria. She was a spiritual girl, full of spirit and a fun-loving gal. Buffy was a very smart and attractive person. She loved reading especially poetry; her dog Brodi; and her Papa Chuck who was teaching her to fly. Buffy was a loving person who never left a conversation with her mother without saying "I love you", as she did with many others too. Buffy is survived by her parents, Steve and Anna Balentine and Peggy & Chuck Weyant; grandmother, Jean Crosby; step-brother, Jacob Rexius; uncle, Les Balentine; and cousin, Christie Balentine. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10am at Shafter Memorial Park for Buffy Suzanne Balentine, age 38, who passed away August 23, 2010 in Santa Maria.
