It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maurice Kelsie Wilson Junior on the evening of November 27th 2023. Maurice, known by his family as Bud, was a pilot in his early years. From a young age Bud knew he would be a pilot and worked hard to achieve his goals. Bud is remembered as passionate, fearless, and active. From flying planes, traveling, jet skiing, and his favorite pass time golfing. Bud Wilson enjoyed spending much of his time on the golf course sharing this sport with many of his grandchildren throughout the years. There are many attributes and adventures which can be noted about Bud Wilson. The most notable is that of his family life. Bud was a loving husband to his wife, of nearly 46 years, Jo Anne Wilson. Bud and Jo Anne exemplified love and what it means to cherish one another. The life he lead with his loving wife was by far his greatest adventure. Bud Wilson is survived by his wife, six children, twenty one grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. There are many words to describe Bud, gentle, kind, intelligent, humorous, and passionate. The best description of Bud would be present. His children and grandchildren will remember his presence in their lives, from soccer games and dance recitals to birthday weddings and anniversaries. He and Jo Anne were there at any major family occasion Bud Wilson took great pride in his family and made an effort to be present. Bud Wilson left a legacy behind and will be missed by those blessed with the gift of being known and loved by him.
