Obituary

Brian was born in Honolulu Hawaii to Pasty and Charles Roberts. He passed away peacefully, in Wasco, California after lingering complications from multiple strokes over the last few years. Raised in Wasco, Brian lived there virtually his whole life with the exception of a brief time spent in Bakersfield. As a youth, Brian was always involved in sports, and carried this on through high school, as a three sport athlete. Through these times he developed many friendships that carried him through life. He also had a love for drag racing, Raider Football and the Angels baseball team. Brian was great at sales, working in the agricultural field, selling parts and Ag implements for Old River Tractor Co and San Joaquin Tractor Co until health issues caused him to be unable to work. In 1979, Brian married his high school sweetheart, Terri Ornelas, this union ended in divorce 10 years later. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Edna McCabe, William and Hattie Roberts and Cleo Fletcher; father, Charles Roberts; and sister, Michele. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Patsy and step-father, Rob; brothers, Kelly and Jimmy; sisters, Susan, Sharon and Melanie; Aunt Nelda; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and a countless numbers of friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Wasco Community Scholarship Association, PO Box 7, Wasco, CA 93280 or the charity of your choice. A special thank you goes to Gladys, Terry, Wayne, and Matt for their sacrifice and loving care for the last nine years. We would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the care and the loving kindness of his caregivers, Chaplain Craig Amos, Sylvia and Claudia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25th, at 11am at the First Assembly of God Church, 150 Elm St, Shafter. Arrangements are under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
