IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian Keith
Crocker
May 27, 1976 – December 14, 2025
Brian Keith Crocker, beloved father, husband, brother, son, and friend passed away in a tragic accident on December 14, 2025 at the age of 49. He was born on May 27, 1976 in Bakersfield, CA where he grew up. There, he learned to love Mexican food and a wide variety of music, but especially the Bakersfield Sound. After attending Highland High School, Brian went to work in the oilfields until an injury in 2000 sent him down a new path which led to Santa Cruz and to his future wife, Shelley. Brian and Shelley made a home together and married in 2004. Their first child, Joshua, was born in 2008, and their second child, Evan, followed in 2011. Brian spent "Daddy Days" with the kids miniature golfing, exploring restaurants, and playing catch. He was so proud of his kids.
Brian loved meeting new people and made friends everywhere he went. He delighted in hearing people's stories and could get along with anyone and everyone. His effervescent personality and sense of humor drew people to him. He made an impact on countless lives.
Brian always enjoyed fishing at Wishon and Balch Park and spending time on Green Horn Mountain. He had a passion for motorcycles and spent numerous hours tinkering and customizing his two Harley-Davidsons. Brian adored music, from rockabilly to country, British pop to rap. He could name and sing along to any song and went to concerts any chance he got.
But, above all, what Brian loved most was his family. He will be missed terribly.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley, and their two children, Joshua and Evan; his mom, Freida Claborn (Tim); his dad, Keith Crocker (Gloria); his sister, Lisa Franceschi; his step-father, John Diederich (Sharon); step-siblings and numerous cousins, as well as a myriad of friends who Brian considered family.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Elmer Morgan; and his grandmother, Glenna Morgan.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 2, at 2pm at Shafter Memorial Park, 18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter, CA, followed by a gathering of friends and family at 4pm at The Elks Lodge #266, 1616 30th St., Bakersfield, CA.
