Brent Walker returned home to Jesus on April 5th, 2021 at the age of 58 in Bakersfield, CA. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 am, May 21st, 2021 at Shafter Memorial Park. Brent was born to Shirley O'Dell and Kenneth Walker on April 19th, 1962 in Lompoc, CA. Brent spent his childhood with his sister, Kim taking care of his animals for 4H, fishing on the reservoir, chopping cotton, learning how to plow the fields, and irritating his sister to no end. Brent is survived by his wife Pamela Walker (Pruitt) of 36 years. Brent met Pam through what only could be described as a fairy tale love story. Brent first locked eyes on her and her white overalls on the school bus and Pamela thought he had an awesome blue Challenger. They dated the remaining years of high school and married shortly after on June 9th, 1984. Brent and Pam had two children, Craig and Heather Walker in the years following. Brent worked tirelessly his entire life to provide everything he could to his wife and children. In addition to being a dedicated loving husband and father, Brent enjoyed spending his free time watching The Lakers, playing golf and vacationing on the Oceano Dunes. Brent spent a little over a decade being known as grandpa and enjoyed spoiling, teasing and creating lifelong memories with his four grandchildren. Brent joins his mother Shirley O'Dell, his grandmothers Mildred Mettler and Evelynn Walker, his uncles Michael Mettler and John Walker in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Walker (Pruitt), sister Kim Barbour (Walker), stepfather Joe O'Dell, father Kenneth Walker, his step sisters Mindy and Cindy, his children Craig and Heather Walker, and his grandchildren Taylor and Tyler Walker and Jorden and Braelynn Hall.
