Brenda "MeMa" Denise Garrett – Lee, age 55, passed away at the Life House in Bakersfield on January 02, 2011. Brenda was born in Wasco, California May 05, 1955 to Elmer and Gloria Jean Brown. She lived in the Bakersfield area most of her life, with a career in auto sales. Survivors include her husband Wayne Lee of Bakersfield; daughters, Kassandra Rocha of Washington and Tammy Montecino of Wasco; sons, Sherman Garrett, Robert Lee and Steven Lee of Bakersfield; brothers, John and Gary Brown of Oklahoma; sister, Dianne Chance of Shafter; 16 Grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Brenda never met a stranger and made life-long friendships. She always felt the need to mother someone and she did it well. Blessed are we that had the opportunity to be a part of her life. Services will be held Friday January 7 at 10a.m. at Peters Funeral Home (1401 7th Street) in Wasco. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9912 Mark Twain Ave. in Bakersfield (Rosedale area), following the service.
