Brenda Kay (Siler) Andorka passed away peacefully at age 73 on Friday, October 28th, 2022 in Palmdale, CA with her family by her side.

Brenda was born in the mountains near Hazard, KY, in Perry County, to Marion & Fannie Siler on August 19, 1949. She was the 11th of 12 children. She graduated with a GED at age 16 and was accepted to college, but stayed home to work and take care of her mother who was struggling with cancer at the time.

Brenda met her husband David on a mountaintop in Colorado in 1972. They were engaged in just 9 days and married only 3 months later. They had three sons and a daughter and traveled and lived all over the U.S. and in Germany as David was stationed in many places while with the U.S. Army. They continued to move many more places thereafter until they settled in Tehachapi, CA nearly 20 years ago.

Brenda had the kindest, most wide-open heart and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother ("Nana"), sister, aunt, and friend. She was most proud of her children and her grandsons and she was unwavering with unconditional love for them all. Brenda had an extremely strong faith in God and the Catholic Church. She was always willing to help or pray for anyone in need, lend an ear or give advice. She is loved by many and will forever be missed.

Brenda is survived by her husband David H. Andorka, sons Douglas Andham (and his wife Wendy), David M. Andorka, William Andorka, daughter Mary Andorka, her grandsons Jack and Mikey, her sister Mattie Whitt, and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda has a strong relationship with God and is now rejoicing in Heaven. Her funeral Mass will be held at Saint Malachy's Church in Tehachapi, CA at 11:00am on November 15, 2022. The rosary will be said before Mass, at 10:30am. Her burial will take place at 2:00 PM at Bakersfield National Cemetery and a reception held at 4:00pm in the church hall at Saint Malachy's in Tehachapi, CA.
