Bonnie Ray Hummel, 83, passed away on May 7, 2016 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family, following a short illness. She was born on October 4, 1932 in Miami, Missouri. Her family relocated to Kern County when she was a young child. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Martha Lynn: and her loving husband, Dennis Hummel in 2010. She is survived by her children Dee Guidera, Mike Hummel (Valerie), Brad Hummel (Monica), grandchildren Casey Campbell (Jon), Kelly Thompson (Jared), Lindsay, Timothy, Carly, Hali, Autumn and Hannah Lowe (Josh), great-grandchildren Luke and Lily Thompson, Aiden Hummel, Mikaelah and Maddox Lowe. Also survived by our Brother from a different Mother, Melvin Russell (Tish), children Sydnee and Brody. She loved playing cards, shopping and vacationing with her family in Carpenteria and Bass Lake. She was a loving wife, mother, and Noni to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to Tedenek Elder Home for their loving care of Bonnie for the last 1 ½ years, the nurses at Mercy Southwest Hospital, and Optimal Hospice – which made her life very comfortable. The family would like to thank the wonderful support from staff that was given to our family in our time of need. We are truly grateful. At our mother's request there will a private family service with a celebration of life at a later day.
