Bobby Wayne McVay passed away peacefully in Bakersfield, CA on Aug. 30th, 2020. Bobby was born in Atkins, Arkansas in June of 1935. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Nelda Wooldridge-McVay of Riverdale, CA. Bobby enjoyed playing country music for the majority of his life while providing for his family. His family include: Dana McVay, Richard McGowen, Debbie McVay-Rodriguez, Denise and Jerry McVay. Bobby lived throughout the state of California and traveled around playing music at different venues in the state. He had a true passion and love for music and his family and would perform mini-concerts throughout his lifetime. His memorial service will be held at the Shafter Memorial Park in Shafter, CA on Tuesday Sept. the 15th at 9:30am. All are welcomed to attend the graveside memorial and arrangements may be sent to the Peters Funeral Home located in Shafter California.
