Private services were held for Blanche on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin. Blanche was born on September 6, 1912 in Kansas City, Missouri to Cesario and Bernabe (Saenz) Loya. Blanche passed away peacefully with family at her side on September 7, 2008. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Tom Guevara and grandson Jason Guevara. She is survived by her 4 children, Dolores and son-in-law, Pete Castro, son, Frank Guevara, daughter, Phyllis Burciaga and son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Laurie Guevara. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren; Tammy Kuster, Rick Castro, Steve Castro, Nikki Burciaga, Bryan Burciaga, Todd Guevara; 10 great grandchildren, Justin Kuster, Tiayana Castillo, Tiara Castro, Heather Castro, Ericka Castro, Jennifer Castro, Madison Guevara, River Burciaga, Brodie Burciaga and Jason Guevara; 2 great great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Ava; 2 sisters, Nellie Solis and Marcy Garcia from Visalia; and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to give special thanks to Hoffmann Hospice; they were very helpful and caring. Also a special thanks to granddaughter, Tammy for all her help.
