IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Blaine Norman
Willard
January 6, 1934 – July 3, 2017
Blaine was born in Woodland, CA on January 6th, 1934. Blaine grew up in Woodland and attended schools there through Junior College. Blaine moved to Delano in his early 20s and met the love of his life, Hazel Willard (Weidower). They married in 1958 and lived in Wasco and Buttonwillow, where they raised their daughter Cindy and son Shane. Blaine worked very hard and started his own mechanic business, Willard Tractor Repair. Blaine was an active member of both the communities of Wasco and Buttonwillow. He was a devoted member of the Wasco Elks Lodge and made many lifelong friends there. Blaine was a true mans man, who loved hunting, fishing and working on any kind of machinery, whether it be restoring old cars, fixing up a truck, or repairing tractors for the local farmers. Blaine loved teaching his grandsons how to hunt and fish, and for many years he took a yearly hunting trip to Colorado with his son-in-law Rod Banducci and his grandson Austin Banducci. Blaine was preceded in death by his son Shane Willard, son-in-law Rodney Banducci, and his loving wife Hazel Willard. He leaves behind his sister Darlene Willard; his daughter Cindy Banducci; and his grandkids Kayla Castillo (Joaquin), Shane Willard Jr., Brandon Willard, and Austin Banducci; as well as his great-grandchildren Mallory, Mason, and Easton Willard, McKenna and Nora Hazel Castillo. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to his friend, Dennis Giannini, for always being there for dad. Special thanks to Dr. William Baker, we would not have had the last 25 years if it had not been for him. Services will be held on Thursday, July 6th beginning at 10:00am at Shafter Memorial Park. Reception will be held immediately following the services at the Elks Lodge in Wasco. Pallbearers will be: Dennis Giannini, Steve Bartlett, Gary Crawford, Bruce Cox, Phillip Esnoz, Joseph Esnoz and Ronnie Torigiani. The family asks that any donations be made to: Wasco Elks Lodge, #2419, PO Box 284, Wasco, CA 93280.
