Billy A. Cooper, a native of El Paso, Texas, and a four-year resident of California and Twenytnine Palms, died Aug. 23, 2008, at home. He was 41. Mr. Cooper was born Feb. 26, 1967, to Bobby Joe Cooper and Maria Y. Andersen in El Paso. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his son, Bobby J. Cooper of Twentynine Palms; mother and stepfather, Maria and Dennis Andersen of Twentynine Palms; grandmother, Gloria T. Chapman of Twenytnine Palms; and a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members from California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Services for Mr. Cooper will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Twentynine Palms, with Father Gerald Vidad of the church officiating.
