Billy Wayne Boyd was born September 19, 1953 in Wasco, CA to parents, Billy and Vonzil Boyd.  He passed away May 1st, 2023 in Bakersfield.  Billy graduated from Shafter High in 1971, and resided locally his entire life.  He enjoyed Bass fishing and watching sports on TV, some of his favorites were the Dodgers and the Broncos.  Billy worked in the oil fields and enjoyed helping out around the church and gardening in his spare time, he especially enjoyed sharing the bounty of his labors.  He will be greatly missed.

Billy was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Romero, and his parents, Billy and Vonzil Boyd.  He is survived by his partner of 14 years, Barbara Coats; his daughters, Heather and husband Roberto Pena Jr., Cassie and husband Rudy Martinez; his siblings, Pam and husband Danny Scott, Reyne Smith, and Steven Boyd and wife Michelle; as well as, 8 grandchildren.
