Billie (Stinnett) Menser was born on January 29, 1930, the daughter of Harvey and Bessie Stinnett in Wayne, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life Melvin Menser on November 18, 1947. Their experiences brought them from Shawnee, Oklahoma to San Luis Obispo, California and finally to Wasco in 1951 until they moved to Bakersfield due to health issues in 1997. Billie worked and enjoyed many years as a beautician until she retired to be a full time grandmother. Billie adored and was so proud of her grandchildren.. Billie is survived by he her children, daughter, Linda Waters and husband Mikell and their children, Mikell and wife Breanna, Mackenzie and fiancé D.J., Mellissa and husband Nick; son, Alan Menser and wife Cindy and their children, Katie Menser, Allison and fiancé Brian; and adopted daughter, Teri Sadler and her family. Billie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Melvin, parents, and brothers, Walter and Willard. The family would like to give special thanks to Nikki and Sarah for all the support and help they gave and to the ICU nurses at Mercy Southwest Hospital. Graveside services will be held on Monday March 2, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Wasco Memorial Park for Billie, age 79 of Bakersfield, formerly of Wasco, who passed away on February 25, 2009 in Bakersfield.
