Bill Morrison, 84 A service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 18 at Mountain Valley Memorial Park in Joshua Tree for Bill Morrison, a 12-year resident of Joshua Tree who died at home Feb. 9, 2009. He was 84 years old. The son of Donald Morrison and Maude Rohr Morrison, he was born in Michigan Dec. 15, 1924. Mr. Morrison was a switch man for the Santa Fe Railroad for 30 years before he retired. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marie Morrison of Joshua Tree; daughter Darcy McCarty of Spokane, Wash.; sister Francis Sandefur of Novi, Mich., stepdaughter Janet Oyler of Decatur, Ill., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
