Bertha married Robert Espinoza in Glendale, Arizona; they were married for nine years until Robert passed away in 1966. She became a single mother at the age of 34, caring for her five children alone. She was devoted to her family and always went above and beyond to provide for her children. She not only loved and cared for her family, she was known among those who knew her to be an animal lover. Bertha rescued many dogs over her life and her family never knew her to be without one. She touched the lives of those around her and had a way of soothing with just a touch. Bertha was also known for her good cooking, especially her famous potato soup. She was a huge music lover and you could always find her singing along to her favorite Mexican artists while cooking. Bertha would even do a little dancing in the kitchen. Her laughter lightened any mood and she was the center of her family. Bertha fought a long battle with Alzheimer's and though she has left a void in her family. She can now rest in the arms of Jesus with no pain and no suffering. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert O. Espinoza in 1966; son, Robert E. Espinoza in 2004; twin sister and 8 siblings,. Berdie was a loving mother devoted to her family. She is survived by her children, Ernie Espinoza and wife Becky, Leonard Espinoza, Diana and husband Bob Brown and Patricia Espinoza, all of Wasco; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and her only surviving sister, Carmen Rivera.
