Benito Estevan Flores II was born in Harlingen, Texas on September 2, 1948 to Benito and Anselma (Vasquez) Flores. Benito grew up in Texas and Arizona, attending Buckeye, Arizona schools; but had been a resident of Wasco for the last 44 years. Benito was a welder for over 30 years but was also a man of many trades and was known as "9-1-1 Benny". In 1970's, he owned and operated Benny's Body Shop. Benito enjoyed watching various sports; going to the Famoso Raceway, watching football and baseball, his favorite teams were the USC Trojans and LA Dodgers. In his spare time he enjoyed playing his guitar,working on random projects with his sons, going to yard sales and spending time at the beach with family and friends. Benito Estevan Flores II is survived by his wife, Adela; sons, Marcos Flores (& wife, Kelli) of Wasco, Benito Flores III (& wife, Jessica) of Temecula; daughter, Fatima Flores of Wasco; mother, Anselma Flores; brothers, Abelino Flores, Peter Flores; sisters, Paula Flores, Ninfa Flores, Elva Flores; and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Benito Flores and his brother, Jose "Joe" Flores. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 2-9pm with Rosary at 7pm at Peters Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10am at St. John's Catholic Church. Father John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park.
