Barry Jay Bornstein was born on June 08, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Abram "AL" and Sylvia (Lerner) Bornstein. He grew up in the Kansas City area in both Kansas and Missouri, where he attended local schools. Barry moved to Los Angeles, California in his early 30's then moved to Sacramento for work in the lighting industry. He worked in a lighting show room for 10 years before moving to Palmdale, California a year ago. Aside from work, Barry loved Karate and even worked with Chuck Norris. He also cherished time with his best friend/ caregiver; Laurel Kaufman and beloved cat, Snowball. Barry passed away on March 5, 2015 in Palmdale, California at the age of 68 years old. Barry is survived by his brother Phillip Bornstein (Julie Brouillette) from Panorama City, California; longtime friend, Laurel Kaufman; 3 nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Al and Sylvia Bornstein. Barry was interred at Bakersfield National Cemetery on March 23, 2015.
