Barbara Jeanette Annie Laura Estella Jones Spaight was born and raised in Lake Village, Arkansas until a handsome marine named Cleveland Spaight swept her off her feet and whisked her away to 29 Palms, California. For the past 40 years Mrs. Barbara Jean accomplished many things, first and foremost being her love of God, her husband, children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a loving and supportive military wife of 23 years and active in her church and community.. She was also a child care provider as well as an active volunteer. Barbara's work included an award from former California Governor Ronald Regan for her outstanding job with her work with the Girl Scouts of America. She was active with "Walk for Arthritis" as well as providing tea for WWII widows and preparing donated food baskets for military members and their families. Barbara was known for her quick wit and keen sense of humor. She was an avid sports fan and could always be seen at local ball games cheering on her children (and even your children) on to victory. Go team! Barbara was an amazing, unstoppable lady who showed love to everyone and in everything she did. She will be missed. But most importantly … she is loved!
