Baltazar Perez Garcia was born May 11, 1973 in Mexico to Ernesto and Maria Trinidad (Perez) Garcia. He moved to Arvin with his family as a young child and attended Arvin elementary schools and Arvin High School with the Class of 1991. Balta was self-employed as a handyman doing construction and repairs for the last 8 years. Balta enjoyed motorcycle riding, bar-be-cueing with the family, going camping in Victorville and Pismo Beach, and just spending time with his family. Balta is survived by his wife, Charlotte, (married September 29, 2007); his sons, Baltazar, Jr., Michael and Daniel; daughters, Tory, Alexis and Destiny; parents, Ernesto Garcia and Maria Trinidad Perez; grandfather, Antonio Garcia; brothers, Antonio, Ernesto, Jose Manuel, Tony and Frank; sisters, Ramona, Carol, Rosi, Maria de Jesus, Luz, Magdalena, Ofelia and Alicia; and many other loving family members. His grandparents and 1 sister, Christina Jaramillo, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers the family has opened a memorial fund in the name of "In memory of Baltazar Garcia". Contributions can be made at the Bank of America located at 500 Bear Mt. Blvd, Arvin and at the Bank of America main branch located on Truxtun Avenue. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 7 at 2pm at the United Pentecostal Church, corner of Haven Drive and Walnut, for Baltazar Perez Garcia, age 34 of Arvin who passed away December 3, 2007. Pastor Rodrigo Navarrette will officiate and interment will follow at South Kern District Cemetery, Arvin. Visitations will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 8pm.
