Arthur Wilbur Chidester, a one-time resident of the Morongo Basin, died Feb. 14, 2009, at Discovery Care Centre in Salmon, Idaho. He was 65 years old. Born in Kansas Aug. 19, 1943, he was the son of Arthur W. Chidester and Betty Lou (Lyttle) Chidester. He was married for 42 years to Ruth Chidester. He lived in California for 20 years and in Salmon, Idaho, for 19 years. Mr. Chidester was an electrical technician before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his uncle, John Lyttle. A service will be held at noon Feb. 20 in the Episcopal Parish Hall in Salmon, Idaho, with John S. McKinney officiating. Inurnment will be in Salmon, Idaho.
