Armando Moreno Gonzalez, 60, of Shafter, CA, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Born in Westlaco, TX to Alberto & Esperanza Gonzalez, he lived most of his life in Shafter, CA. Armando was a passionate man who enjoyed being a truck driver. His hobby was to play in his brothers' band and watching the Dallas Cowboys play. He spent the last few years of his life in the house of God, where he was baptized in Jesus name. Armando is survived by his wife Guadalupe Gonzalez of 34 years, sons Armando (Kara) Gonzalez Jr. and Eduardo Gonzalez, grandchildren Chase & Whitney Gonzalez, sisters Esperanza (Homer) Rodriguez and Anita Herrera, brothers Alberto (Frances) Gonzalez, Eduardo (Rosa) Gonzalez, Arnulfo Gonzalez, Fabian Gonzalez, as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4PM-8PM at Peters Funeral Home 844 E. Lerdo Highway Shafter, CA 93263. Funeral services for Armando will be on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10AM at Peters Funeral Home. Armando's will be laid to rest at Shafter Cemetery.
