Arlene Marie Ochoa June 25, 1994 – April 10, 2007 Arlene Maria Ochoa was born June 25, 1994 to Roberto Ochoa, Jr. and Veronica Mendez in Bakersfield, California. She grew up in Wasco and was currently a student in the 7th grade at Thomas Jefferson School. She enjoyed being active and had a lot of energy, which she spent riding bikes, skate boarding, playing soccer and dancing. She liked listening to music and being with her friends. She is survived by her father, Roberto Ochoa, Jr. of Bakersfield; mother, Veronica Mendez of Wasco; sisters, Ellie Ochoa and Angel Ochoa of Wasco; grandparents, Roberto & Maria Ochoa of Wasco, Jose & Magdalena Mendez of Wasco; great grandparents, Fidel Ochoa, Luis and Julia Palacio, Magdaleno & Antonia Villegas, all of Mexico; and many other loving family members, including aunts, uncles and cousins. Services under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was as followed; Holy Rosary was recited Wednesday, April 18 at 7pm at St. Johns Church, 901 Griffith Street, Wasco and a Mass of the Christian Burial was said on Thursday, April 19 at 10am at St. Johns Church. Fr. John Fluetsch officiated the service and interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation was held at Iglesia El Aposento Alto, 1044 7th Street, Wasco on Wednesday, April 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. Serving as casket bearers were Jose Mendez, Pablo Jimenez, Jovanny Molina, Juan Carlos Duran, Carlos Ochoa and Hugo Duran.
