Darlene age 61, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 5th, 2022 in Bakersfield Ca. with her family by her side.

She was born in Bakersfield, Ca. to Bill & Sis Upton on February 22, 1961 and lived most of her life in Arvin, Ca.

Darlene loved trying new restaurants and traveling with her daughter Nikki, loved watching the Broncos play with her son Nathan and enjoyed her long talks with her son Joey. She loved her dogs, the casino, going on Walmart trips but nothing compared to spending quality time with her family and friends. Darlene absolutely cherished her family and always said "family first".

Darlene was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was always willing to help or pray for anyone in need, lend an ear or give advice and she never met a stranger. She is loved by many and will forever be missed.

Darlene is preceded in death by her son Isaiah Sugarray Hernandez, mother Gloyce Marcine Morris, father Billy Chester Upton and her sister Glandy Kay Gaskill.

She is survived by her daughter Nikki Gutierrez, Son's Nathan and Joey Hernandez, sister's Gwen Morris & Charlene Wilson and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and granddogs.

Darlene had a strong relationship with God and is now rejoicing in Heaven. We shall meet again, One Sweet Day.
