Antonio Vasquez was born August 10, 1927 in Jalisco, Mexico to parents, Francisco and Cleofas (Olmeda) Vasquez. He was a hardworking man; he worked in Agriculture his whole life in different jobs. He enjoyed watching soccer with his family, or hunting around the farm. He collected guns and had an appreciation for tractors. At times Antonio could be a stubborn man, but his family will remember him more as a gentle teddy bear. He will be greatly missed. Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Cleofas; his wife, Elsie; and their daughter, Mauricia Amador. He is survived by his children, Miguel Gonzalez (Yolanda), Marina Gonzalez, Irma Martinez, Michael Orlicky (Julie), Virginia Vasquez, Maria Ramirez, Margarita Vasquez, and Rachel Vasquez; 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Antonio Vasquez died at his home in Wasco on May 8, 2017. A viewing and Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 9:00am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Wasco; Mass followed at 10:00am. Father Raul Sanchez officiated the services and interment was held at Wasco Memorial Park.
