Annie L. Tillman was born in Texarkana, Texas to Grant Alexander and Alice (Cole) Alexander. Annie received her schooling in Texas and as a young woman moved to Wasco with her family. She married Clinton Tillman on September 4, 1948 in McFarland, California and served her family as a homemaker. Annie loved watching soap operas and mystery stories; especially CSI and forensic shows. She also enjoyed cooking chili for her family. Annie had a very sweet personality and was friendly to everyone she met. She was always happy and loved her family dearly. Although Annie L. Tillman is gone from fights, she will forever remain in our hearts. Annie L. Tillman be truly missed by her daughter and son and loved by all. Annie L. Tillman was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Grant Alexander; husband, Clinton Tillman Sr.; son, Deacon Tillman, Jr.; daughter, Julia Ann Tillman: siblings, William Colbert, Albert Colbert and Rachel Kelly. Annie is survived by her children, Andrew Tillman, Kenneth and wife Lorraine, Mary Nelson, Joann Thomas and husband Algia, Gloria Tillman and Lavonne Tillman; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11am at Apostolic Faith Temple in Wasco for Annie L. Tillman, age 84, of Wasco, who passed away on January 7, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. Suffragon Bishop H. Crenshaw will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home.
