Angelina Olivarez Rivera 1940-2015 Angelina Olivarez Rivera, 75, born on April 6, 1940 in Bakersfield, California, passed away on July 25, 2015. Angelina was lifelong resident of Wasco, California where she resided with her family until her passing. Angelina attended Wasco schools K-12 and devoted her time working for the schools as a teacher's aide and campus supervisor. Angelina also worked as an in home care taker for over 11 years which she took much pride in. Angelina was a very beautiful soul who was considered the rock of her family. Everyone that knew her will remember her as a strong, independent, classy, and fearless woman who lived for her family and dogs. Angelina was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Manuel Olivarez and Mary Lourdes Vallejo, also her two sisters, Linda Vasquez and Marie Olivarez. Angelina is survived by her four children, Albert Penalber, Maryann Penalber Lucas, Monica Penalber, Rebecca Olivarez; and twelve grandchildren, Stella Penalber, Albert Penalber, Robert Penalber, Cati Lujan, Alyssa Lujan, Christian Lucas, Adrian Ruiz, Ariana Garza, Salina Esquivel, Enrique Esquivel, Anissa Olivarez, Michelle Garza; two sisters, Maryann Rita Olivarez, Judy Maduena; two brothers, Robert Olivarez, David (Grace) Vallejo; and fourteen great grandchildren. Viewing will take place on Sunday August 2, 2015 from 2-7pm with a rosary at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 8 am at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco. Our angelic Angelina will be laid to rest on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at Wasco Memorial Park at 1 pm. Flowers can be sent to Peters Funeral Home in Wasco.
