Angelina awoke in the comforting presence of the Lord on June 27th, 2013. Angelina was born August 2, 1941 in Jalisco, Mexico to Pedro and Maria Contreras. She resided in Kern County from 1971 to present. She worked in agriculture for 41 years, which she enjoyed doing. Angelina was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria; her two sons, Gerardo and Javier Rocha; her sisters, Emilia Ynignez, Teresa Anaya, Guadalupe Orozco and brother, Jose Contreras. She is survived by her seven children, Alicia Lopez, Armando (Isaura) Rocha, Blanca Maya, Filiberto Rocha, Maria (Javier) Ayala, Sylvia (Mauricio) Rodriguez, Erica (Ray) Bravo; daughter-in-law, Esmeralda Garza; 31 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many family and friends who love her and greatly miss her. Holy Rosary will be recited Friday, July 5 at 6:30 at St. Elizabeth Parish, McFarland for Angelina Contreras, age 71, of Wasco who passed away July 27, 2013 in Wasco. A wake beginning at 9pm will be held at Hope and Resurrection Church, Poso and F Street, Wasco. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 6th at 8am at St. Elizabeth Parish, McFarland followed by interment at North Kern Cemetery, Delano.
