AD Lewis was born on May 23, 1937 in England, Arkansas to Noah and Edith Lewis. AD departed from this life October 7, 2021 after being diagnosed with Covid-19 and developed multiple issues during treatment. He was 84 at the time of his death. AD came to California with his parents and siblings in 1950 and moved to Shafter in 1952. He moved his family and business to Bakersfield in 1979 and he remained self-employed until he retired in 2012. He raised his 3 children as a single father until he met the love of his life Mary Woods, and married her in 1983. AD would be described as a remarkable man that loved the Lord and his family with everything he had. AD is survived by his wife Mary Lewis, children and spouses; Dena and Tyler Maddox, Andrea and Scott Brown and Darin Lewis, Terry and Judy Woods, Tonya Woods, David Woods, and Danny and Belinda Woods. 16 Grandchildren; 21 Great grandchildren; Siblings; Bobby Lewis, Norma Maynard and Rena Dorsett. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents Noah and Edith Lewis. Son, Russell Lewis, Brother; Carl Lewis. Daughter in law; Tiffani Lewis.
