Ana María Gonzalez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on April 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Ana María was born on July 9, 1954, in Tangancícuaro, Michoacán, where her life began rooted in faith, family, and hard work. She spent her youth alongside her parents and siblings, growing up in a close-knit home where those values were lived each day. From a young age, she worked alongside her family in the fields, following the harvest seasons throughout California. It was during those years that she formed the strength, discipline, and character that would define her life.

She married the love of her life, Carlos Gonzalez, in 1973, and together they began their life in Delano, California. There, they built their home and raised their five children. They shared 43 years of marriage until his passing. Their life was filled with love, laughter, and music. Ana María loved to dance, bringing joy and energy wherever she went, and their life together reflected a deep and enduring love.

Ana María was truly beautiful - inside and out. She carried herself with grace, strength, and a warmth that drew people to her. She was known for her incredible cooking, always preparing meals with care, pride, and generosity. Her home was always immaculate, just like her kitchen, and she never stopped caring for others - especially during gatherings, where she made sure everyone felt welcomed and well cared for.

Despite a lifetime of hard work, she also knew how to enjoy life. She loved spending time with her family - laughing, talking, and simply being together. She enjoyed going to the casino and being surrounded by the people she loved.

Later in life, after years of labor work, she worked as a florist, where her creativity and love for beauty continued to shine.

She was an incredibly thoughtful person - never missing a birthday, always reaching out, always present. As a mother and grandmother, she was unmatched: loving, attentive, and deeply cherished by her children and grandchildren. She was the heart of her family and was loved by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Elsa Moreno; Sonia and husband, Carlos Salazar; Laura and husband, Tony Sanchez; Carlos Jr. and wife, Amanda Gonzalez; and Cesar Gonzalez.

Her beloved grandchildren: Adrian Moreno, Carlos Moreno, Valerie Lopez, Carlos Salazar Jr., Tony Sanchez Jr., Elizabeth Sanchez, Nicole Sanchez, Nataliya Gonzalez, Elisa Gonzalez, and Nevaeh Gonzalez;her great-grandson: Mario Moreno III; and her siblings: Guillermo Fernandez, Eliseo Fernandez, Fernando Fernandez, Jesus Fernandez Jr., and Maria Escalante, and their spouses, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Gonzalez; her parents, Jesus Fernandez and Rafaela Fernandez; her brother, Eduardo Fernandez; her son-in-law, Mario Moreno; and her grandson, Mario Moreno Jr.

Ana María lived a full and beautiful life, defined by love, strength, generosity, and joy. The love she gave so freely will remain with her family always.

Ana María nació el 9 de julio de 1954 en Tangancícuaro, Michoacán, donde comenzó una vida marcada por la fe, la familia y el trabajo. Vivió su juventud junto a sus padres y hermanos, creciendo en un hogar unido donde esos valores se vivían día con día. Desde joven trabajó en el campo junto a su familia, siguiendo las temporadas de cosecha en distintas partes de California. Fue en esos años donde forjó la fortaleza, la disciplina y el carácter que la acompañaron toda su vida.

Se casó con el amor de su vida, Carlos Gonzalez, en 1973, y juntos comenzaron su vida en Delano, California. Ahí formaron su hogar y sacaron adelante a sus cinco hijos. Compartieron 43 años de matrimonio, hasta su fallecimiento. Su vida estuvo llena de amor, risas y música. A Ana María le encantaba bailar, siempre llena de alegría y energía, y su vida juntos fue reflejo de un amor profundo y duradero.

Ana María fue una mujer verdaderamente hermosa - por dentro y por fuera. Se distinguía por su porte, su fortaleza y esa calidez que hacía que todos se sintieran cerca de ella. Era conocida por su gran sazón, siempre cocinando con dedicación, orgullo y generosidad. Su casa siempre estaba impecable, al igual que su cocina, y nunca dejaba de estar al pendiente de los demás - especialmente en reuniones, donde se aseguraba de que todos se sintieran bienvenidos y atendidos.

A pesar de todo lo que trabajó en su vida, también supo disfrutarla. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia, reír, platicar y convivir. También disfrutaba ir al casino y estar rodeada de la gente que quería.

Más adelante, después de años de trabajo físico, trabajó como florista, donde su creatividad y su amor por la belleza continuaron brillando.

Fue una persona sumamente detallista, nunca olvidaba un cumpleaños, siempre estaba presente y al pendiente de los suyos. Como mamá y abuela, no tuvo comparación - amorosa, dedicada y profundamente querida por todos sus hijos y nietos. Fue el corazón de su familia, y todos los que la conocieron la quisieron profundamente.
