Amtigane Morris, a native and life-long resident of California and a 20-year resident of Morongo Valley, died Sept. 18, 2008, at home. She was 28 years old. She was born to Frank and Colleen Morris on May 4, 1980. Ms.. Morris was in construction for 10 years. She loved the outdoors and was very active; she enjoyed snow boarding. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2004. She is survived by brother Conrad Mountjoy of Prineville, Ore., sister Tonynett Hill of Modesto, uncles Mike Morris and Frank Morris, both of San Pedro, aunt Alanno Barrow of Alicia Viejo and stepfather Tom Mountjoy of San Pedro. A service will be held at a later date in Lake Tahoe. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 24 at Ms. Morris' home at 9779 Big Morongo Canyon Road in Morongo Valley.
