A graveside service was conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Amie Hazel Hight, age 79, on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at 2pm, at Shafter Memorial Park. Pastor Don Johnson officiated. Amie was born in Lena, Oklahoma, to Lemuel and Elsie Bailey, on February 11, 1926. She passed away in Visalia at the Kaweah Delta Hospital on September 10, 2006. She attended Shafter High School. She married Fredrick DeWayne Hight in 1944. Amie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fredrick in 1982; and her firstborn, Patricia Ann. She is survived by her children, Lynette Johnson and husband, Don; Jim Hight, Connie Ruddell, and Karen Wood; 7 grandchildren, Josh, Jessica and Jacquelyn Johnson; Kimberly and Dustin Hight; Ryan and Kyle Wood; 4 great grandchildren, Jaymie, Brittany, Brianne, and Sarah Watkins; 2 sisters, Mattie Halcomb and Bonnie Huff.
