Amelia is now with the Lord and the love of her life, Luis S. Castaneda, daughter, Dora, son, Luis and daughter Angie. A viewing will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 8:30am to 10am at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary followed by a service at 10am. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 at Union Cemetery. Amelia resided in Kern County over 61 years. She was a homemaker and mother of 14 children. Her survivors include sons; Ray, Frank, Joe, Raul, and Larry; daughters, Gloria, Mary, Carmen, Lucy, Norma and Sylvia. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Amelia truly exemplified the meaning of "unconditional love". She was always loved by her brothers and sisters and so many nieces and nephews. She never turned away anyone from her home or her love. Pall bearers are Ray Castaneda, Larry Castaneda, Raul Castaneda, Joe Castaneda, Jack Flinn, and Robert Gonzaga. Honorary pall bearers are, Frank, Joshua and Luis Castaneda.
