Alicia Camargo was born December 24, 1978 in Wasco, California to Alberto and Eva (Vargas) Camargo. She grew up in Shafter attending Shafter elementary schools and graduating from Shafter High School with the Class of 1997. She worked from the Chevron Station at Lerdo & Hwy 99, the Texaco Station on Seventh Standard Road and also for Sun World and Bolthouse Carrots. But her main duty was to her family as a homemaker. She is survived by her 3 sons, Ryan, Matthew and Richard Lopez, all of Shafter; mother, Eva Camargo of Shafter; grandmothers, Guadalupe Arevalo of Shafter and Antonia Valenzuela of Mexico; brother, Albert Camargo; sisters, Antoinette, Lizette and Ivette, all of Shafter; and many loving, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Alberto Camargo and 1 nephew. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct 4, at 6pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said, Friday, Oct. 5 at 10am at St. Teresa's Church. Fr. Pedro Umana will officiate the services and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 3, from 5pm to 8pm and Thursday, October 4 from 2pm – 8pm.
