Ms. Alice Lorraine Whitaker, a 79 year resident of California and a 36 year resident of Yucca Valley died on Dec. 27, 2008 at Hi Desert Medical Center. She was 84 years old. The daughter of Frank and Thecla (Schudd) Siebengartner, Ms. Whitaker was born April 19, 1924, in Davenport, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Whitaker in 1983. They were married for 16 years. Ms. Whitaker is survived by daughter and son-in-law Gina and Fenton Orme of Yucca Valley, Calif., sisters Josephine Rhyan of Lake Havasu City, Ariz, Marion Douglas of St. George, Utah, and Mary Jane Schultz of McCammon, Idaho, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a Homemaker for 40 years.
