Alice Soliz age 52, passed from this life to the next unexpectedly on Thursday, March 29, 2012. She was the daughter of Pablo and Elida. When she was still young her family moved from Texas to Shafter, CA, where Alice was raised and attended school. She was a fantastic cook, and made the best salsa. Alice worked as a waitress at La Casa de Dennis, named after her brother, and in the cafeteria for Shafter elementary. She eventually became a caretaker looking after her parents. Alice attended VBF church and enjoyed fishing, having bar-b-ques, catering, and menudo cook offs, especially when it was with family and friends. She had a great personality was outgoing with a beautiful smile; she liked to laugh and make others laugh as well. You could say she was, "the life of the party!" Alice was always kind and wanted to help others. She enjoyed encouraging and telling everyone about Jesus. She was a mother to Frankie, and Virginia Cuadras, and Maricela, Monique, and RIP David Soliz. Alice was a loving and caring mother, grandma, daughter, sister, and mother-law. She is survived by four kids; and her mother; three brothers, two sisters, twelve grandbabies; numerous nephews, necies, and cousins. Loved by all we miss you. A viewing was held Tuesday, April, 3 2012, from 2-8pm at Peters Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, April 4, beginning at 11am, also at Peters Funeral Home, with interment following at Shafter Memorial Park.
