Alice Josephine Robb, 91, died Feb. 22, 2009, at the Hemet Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Robb was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Mead County, Kansas, and lived in Riverside County since 2001. Prior to that, she was a longtime resident of Johnson Valley. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Kansas University and earned her master's degree from New York University. She was then a teacher for over 30 years, beginning in Kansas and then at the Ocean View School District in Huntington Beach for 25 years. More recently, Mrs. Robb was a member of the First Baptist Church of Johnson Valley and the Johnson Valley Association for Homeowners. During her retirement, she was an avid artist, enjoying painting and drawing. Mrs. Robb is survived by daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Richard Nelson of Wildomar; son Charles Robb; brother and sister-in-law Carl and Lela Paden of Kansas; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Kenneth and Deanna Nelson; granddaughter Katherine Nelson; and four great-grandchildren: Ian, Kristin, Erika and Jake Nelson. Private family services will be held.
