Obituary

Alice Faye Brown was born to Joseph Nixson and Irene Goodson on June 21st, 1946, in Big Spring, Texas. She grew up with six siblings, Sadie, Mary, Richard, David, Dennis, and Douglas. Alice Married her first husband Lester Gunter and bore two beautiful daughters, Paula and Tina. Their union did not last and they divorced. She then met the love of her life, Wayne. Alice and Wayne took on the world together, always by one another's side. They were truly in love. They lived in Texas until the late 1970's. From Texas they decided to plat their roots in California. Alice and Wayne lived in Bakersfield for many years before moving to Malibu in the early 1990's. They decided to return to Bakersfield to be closer to family in the late 1990's. Throughout her lifetime Alice struggled with heart issues. She was so strong and such a fighter. She underwent several heart valve replacements though her life. Eventually her heart became too weak to be worked on again. Wayne left us unexpectedly on April 11th, 2020. It was devastating to Alice. Her physical and mental health started to decline. She missed him and she felt empty. Her other half had left her and she felt sad and alone. She knew she was loved by her family, but she yearned to be with her love once more. Alice and Wayne were reunited the morning of November 5th, 2021. Alice passed peacefully and gracefully with family at her side. She rejoined her mother, father, husband, brother Dennis, sister Mary, and great granddaughter Lourolyie. Alice leaves behind her daughter Paula and her husband Vicente Jr, as well as her daughter Tina and her husband Tim. Also left behind are Paula's children: Vince III, Jayme and her husband Garrett, Gavin, Gage, Alexus, and Alissa; as well as Tina's children: Thomas and his girlfriend Megan, Michelle, and Katlyn. Alice also left behind her great grandchildren: Faith, Helen, Aaden, Micaela, Elijah, Mazen, and Ezariah.
