Obituary for Alice Ann Annin
Alice Ann Annin was born on May 14, 1936, in Stockton, California, to Clarence R. Annin and Eleanor Louise Annin. She was born five minutes before her twin sister, Mary Lou. These two sisters followed their four-year-old brother, Donald Russell Annin. Because Mr. Annin was the principal of Calaveras Union High School in San Andreas at the time, the student body decided to take the rest of the afternoon off and celebrate this occasion!
The family later moved to Avenal, where Mr. Annin became the principal of Avenal High School. The family returned to Wasco in the early 1940s to take over the family farming operation.
Alice worked for Bank of America in Wasco for 35 years where she set up checking and savings accounts for many of Wasco's students as they started their lives after high school or opened joint accounts with their new spouse.
Alice attended the United Methodist Church until it closed in 2017. She contributed many beautiful counted cross-stitch pieces and delicious food items to the Women's Holiday Bazaar. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter JT for 32 years.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her twin sister. Alice was the last of her generation. She is survived by three nephews: Paul, Richard, and Glen Annin.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 13 at 10am Wasco Memorial Park, followed by a reception at Peters Funeral Home, 1017 7th Street, Wasco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Annin Family Memorial Account with the Wasco Community Scholarship Association, P.O. Box 7, Wasco, CA 93280.
