Alfredo Jose Vela, 67, of Shafter, California, died Saturday, June 15, 2019, in Beeville. Mr. Vela was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Beeville to Luciano and Maria (Aleman) Vela. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School and married Amelia Amador. He was a retired truck driver and a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luciano and Maria Vela; his wife, Amelia A. Vela; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Gary (Ronette) Vela and Edward (Maria) Vela, both of Beeville; two daughters, Lisa Vela- Fresno, California, and Tammy Vela of Shafter, California; two brothers, Paul Vela of La Cruces, New Mexico, and Rene Vela of Shafter, California; and two sisters, Luciana Ramirez of Michigan and Gracie Luna of Shafter, California, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home, Shafter, CA on Monday, June 24th from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Services will be held at La Rosa De Saron Assembly of God on Tuesday, June 25th at 10:00a.m. Interment to follow at Shafter Memorial Park, Shafter, CA
