Alfredo Santos-Ceja was born in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico to Jose and Zeniada (Ceja) Santos, on September 3, 2007. He came to Shafter in 2005, and had been working as a farm laborer. He enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball and traveling. Alfredo was a very happy person, he loved to make people laugh, and he enjoyed dancing. Alfredo was preceded in death by his mother, Zeniada. He is survived by his brothers, Hugo and wife, Bernice of Shafter, Pedro and wife, Esperanza of Fresno, and Mario Santos; sisters Judeth, Juriana, and Mariana Santos all of Mexico. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 6pm, for Alfred Santos-Ceja, age 21, of Shafter, who passed away September 3, 2007, in Shafter. A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, September 7, 2007, at 10am. Father Pedro Umana of St. Therese's Catholic Church officiated the service. Alfredo will be interred in Mexico.
