Alex Escobedo was born in Bakersfield, Ca, on March 19, 1963, to Jose and Anita Escobedo; one of a set of triplets. He was raised in Delano and attended Cecil Avenue Junior High and graduated from Delano High Class of "81"; he also attended Bakersfield College. Shortly after college he moved to Bakersfield, and had been employed for the last 18 years with Sizzler's Restaurant on California Ave. Alex had many faithful customers who would visit him once his illness prevented him from working. Alex was a very outgoing person who loved music, dancing and partying. As a youngster he was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. Alex is survived by his father, Jose Escobedo; his mother, Anita of Delano; fraternal sisters, Teresa of Bakersfield, and Alice of Buttonwillow; also a set of twin siblings, Daniel Escobedo and Sylvia Jimenez and husband, Anthony all of Bakersfield; siblings, Jose Escobedo and wife, Alicia of Michigan, and Lorraine Perez and husband, Eddie of Bakersfield; and many loving family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Friday, September 28, 2007, at 12 noon, for Alex Escobedo, age 44, of Delano, who passed away September 25, 2007, in Bakersfield. Interment will follow at North Kern Cemetery in Delano at 2pm. A visitation will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Friday, Sept 28, 2007 from 9am to 12Noon.
