IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alejandro N.
Pelayo
April 24, 1961 – December 11, 2021
Alejandro N. Pelayo, to know him was to love him. He was born on April 24th, 1961 in El Alcihuatl, Jalisco, Mexico to Salvador and Amelia Pelayo and was the eldest of 11 children. At the age of 10 he moved to Delano, California. He enjoyed playing flag football, basketball and running track at Semitropic school. He worked as a welder before going into the hay industry in 1989. Two years later he started his hay raking company, A.P Hay Raking. After battling and beating cancer, he lived each day as if it were his last. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. He loved the farm life and sharing the crops he grew with all his friends and family. He loved to share stories and make everyone laugh. His laugh was so contagious you couldn't help but to join in. He could often be found watching old westerns, action movies and comedies. He learned something new every day and knew all there was to know about history, there was hardly any questions he did not have an answer to. He was a jack of all trades and shared his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn anything about welding, mechanics, plumbing, electricity, just to name a few. His children were blessed with an amazing father who taught them the importance of hard work and perseverance. He was a very involved grandpa, taking his grandkids on quad rides, tractor rides and even making them their own petting zoo in his back yard. His love for the farm life will live on through his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will forever live on. He is survived by his mother, siblings, wife, four children and grandchildren.
