Agnes Victoria Vajsabel was born May 10, 1925 to Josef and Maria (Weissable) Vajsabel in the township of Collier in Greggs, Pennsylvania, the youngest of 5 children. She lived in Bakersfield for 58 years and worked for Bank of America for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Alter Society, and Legion of Mary. Agnes loved church, working in her garden and her cats. Agnes is survived by nieces Georgia Francis, Christine Bergan, Anne Vajsabel; nephews, Steven and Peter Vajsabel; sister-in-law, Pat Vajsabel; and great nephew, Christopher Francis. A special thanks to Agape In-Home Care and Mary Jones & Opal for helping with the care of Agnes. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, 300 Baker Street, Bakersfield Ca. 93305 or St. Joseph's Church Building Fund 1515 Baker Street, Bakersfield Ca. 93305 Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Mon., Jan. 8, at 6:30pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said Tues., Jan. 9, at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary on Mon., Jan. 8 from 2pm-8pm.
