Family and friends are invited to celebrate Agapito's life at a memorial service which will be held on Saturday, March 7 beginning 10:00 a.m. at Peter's Funeral Home, 844 Lerdo Hwy. in Shafter. Graveside services will follow immediately at Shafter Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 6 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Agapito Prendez Albiar was born on January 30, 1924 in Ballinger, Texas and passed away peacefully on March 1, 2009. Agapito was preceded in death by Manuela, his loving wife of 53 years. He is survived by his sons Albert Albiar and Fernando Albiar; daughters Minerva Davidson, Graciela Albiar-Gates, Ninfa Ontiveros and Emma Trolinger; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves behind brother Heriberto Alvear; sisters Sofia Cantú, Catalina Hernandez, Cristina Flores and Socorro Mendez; and many nieces and nephews. Agapito was a deacon and longtime member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Church of Shafter. He is fondly remembered by many for his faith in God, compassion, generosity, and loving dedication to his family. Agapito is forever in our hearts.
