Absalon was born in Peru, on May 24, 1942, to Elias and Mercedes Huapaya. He came to California in1972, and to Shafter in 1996. He met Margarita Cerna in 1987, and they shared 20 years together. He was employed by Shafter Concrete and Pipe Co. from 1996 to Nov. 2001. Absalon enjoyed gardening and yard work. He enjoyed spending time with Margarita and his family. He did not enjoy house work but would help out wherever help was needed. Absalon is survived by his friend and companion of 20 years, Margarita; also his stepchildren, Lorene Lepe and husband, Edgar Isales of St. George, Utah and William Ramirez of Shafter; step-grandchildren, Brenda Hernandez, Amy and Boris De Leon and Angie Isales whom he loved and considered his own.
