Abel Hipolito was born in Mule Shoe, Texas on February 12, 1967, to Rafael and Juanita Hipolito. He came to Shafter as a young boy, and attended the local schools and graduating from Shafter High School. Abel was by trade an auto and diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends. Abel was a billiard enthusiast and enjoyed throwing darts and playing pool. Abel was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita. He is survived by his father, Rafael; son, Nicolas; brothers, Rafael and wife, Cristina Hipolito, and Miguel and wife, Anacristina all from the Shafter area. A funeral service was held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 10am, for Abel Hipolito, age 41, of Shafter, who passed away March 22, 2008, in Shafter. Pastor Gabriel Espinoza of the Templo Calvario officiated the service and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park.
